Bend & Brew – Donations Based Yoga Class with Centred on Yoga
About this event:
Join us on Sunday, February 18th, from 10 – 11 am in our beautiful taproom for Centred on Yoga’s quarterly fundraising event … Bend and Brew!
Come for yoga, stay for coffee (or mimosa), and give for a cause. This donations-based class will be a 60-minute all-levels flow (not heated) team-taught by the teachers of Centred on Yoga! We will flow together in the beautiful taproom and afterward, as a community, partake in the coffee shop or the brewery libations.
This month all proceeds raised go to support Families in Transition (FIT / Homeless Program of Nassau County Schools). This program seeks to serve the children of families impacted by homelessness here in Nassau County.
More than 400 children in Nassau County do not have a permanent place to call home. When these children are moving from house to house or shelter to shelter, school is often at the back of their minds. Consequently, preparing for the next school year is significantly more difficult for these families than for others living in stable households. Centred on Yoga is partnering with the Nassau County Schools Families in Transition program to ensure these families have all they need to start the 2024 school year on the right track. We are encouraging our supporters to help us collect basic school supplies for these children, so they have everything they need for a successful year. This Bend and Brew we are focused on raising funds for the program and bringing awareness to the work this organization does to gain volunteers!
COY will be accepting monetary donations now until the Bend & Brew event. Cash, check, or Venmo is accepted. -> @centredonyoga.
Registration is free. Gather your yogi community, grab some shoes and we will meet you on your mats to flow it out together at Mocama!
